HoldRite® 117-K Series 117-8K Short Sweep Bend Restraint, 8 in Pipe, Stainless Steel/Steel

The HoldRite® #117-K Series no-hub fitting restraints are designed to reinforce no-hub cast iron installations at 90 deg (1/4 bends and short sweep 1/4 bends) changes of direction, in accordance with the installation instructions of US cast iron soil pipe manufacturers, CISPI designation 301-18, 310-18 and the 2006 CISPI installation handbook. The #117-K (2 to 8 in sizes), retain the 90 deg elbow onto the adjoining piping using stainless steel bands which must be torqued to 60 in-lb minimum. When installed correctly, these restraint brackets achieve a safe thrust pressure rating equal to 50 ft head of water pressure. For sizes 10 to 15 in, heavy-duty steel pipe clamps and straps are used and require 60 ft-lb of torque on pipe clamp bolts.
