The MARS side open disconnect with GFCI receptacle provides a convenient low cost means to satisfy NEC 2003 code changes requiring that a GFCI receptacle with a "while inuse" cover be within a 25 ft line of sight of the condenser unit. The pre-wired receptacle with stripped wire ends makes installation of disconnect and receptacle quick and easy. This unit provides a significantly lower "installed cost" to the contractor when compared to installing a standard disconnect and separate GFCI receptacle with "while in use" cover to comply with the new NEC code change.
